I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Sacramento, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
If your reading this your probably juggling a couple options as far as employment goes. Well I have some experience in this store and must say its pretty easy to get on board. The only thing you must do is apply online and pass the online multiple choice test. After that you or they will follow through with a call. The interview process isn't too bad. Just brush up possible questions online like I did 2 nights and a night before. Practice with a partner and you'll be golden. Its a pretty chill hiring process. You should be good if they schedule a second interview. As for the workplace, most people are friendly including coworkers and managers. The only thing is yes there is a lot of work. So if you don't mind that go for it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None really. Its pretty basic/standard. Search popular interview questions online and you will be more fit for an interview than me putting a diff/unexpected question.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
