Don't bother applying to leadership unless you're Punjabi. Their process was they used a 3rd party headhunter, who set me up with a conversation with their CIO. The CIO was great, we had a very conversational interview and he clearly understood how security can optimize business strategy. They moved me on to the CTO, and this is where things got bad.
First, this company, even though I told them I was going to be out of town for a cybersecurity conference for 1 week, scheduled an interview for while I was at the conference. I accommodated this request....and their CTO never even showed up to the interview. I had to reach out to the headhunter, who reached out to them to inform me that he wasn't going to make it. So we rescheduled for the following week.
Again, he doesn't show up, and again, I have to reach out to the headhunter. He gets ahold of the company's HR department, who goes and gets this CTO and finally gets him on a call with me.
The CTO asks me TWO questions (tell me about yourself, and what's your background - both things that he could glean from the resume). And that was his interview. 3 minutes on a 45 minute scheduled interview that he was 20 minutes late to (and I could tell from the video he was reading something on his computer as I was talking), and he's wrapping things up and asks if I have any questions. I ask a couple of basic questions to see whether this is worth pursuing further in spite of his rudeness, and just out of nowhere when I ask why the position is open, he goes on this profanity laced tirade about how everyone is racist towards his people and how he'll kill anybody who tries to break into his infrastructure and how he thinks security isn't important because nobody knows who SPS is and they don't use the cloud or AI or any new tech so it doesn't matter.
After the fact, I go and look at the company's leadership team, and yup....the whole team is Punjabi. Could probably file an EEOC complaint if I wanted. Their CTO was clearly only going to hire someone who looked like him.
Anyhow, to top it all off, they never even had the courtesy of sending a Dear John letter. Complete disrespect
