Went through a recruiter. Communicated my strengths and weaknesses. Was asked to take a skills assessment on some of the same technologies I was not comfortable with. Completed the test with incomplete answers (due to my lack of knowledge). Figured they'd pass. Was contacted a week later to set up a face-to-face interview. I was confused, but open to the opportunity. Two-thirds of the interview was normal, asking about my experience. Then they addressed the skills assessment, confirming whether or not I knew anything of this technology. I responded truthfully. And the interview was over. Left bewildered as to why the interview took place if they obviously are looking for someone with more technical depth, not breadth.
