I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Atlanta, GA) in Aug 2016
Interview
I went to the Atlanta interview. There were about 120 of us there split up into two rooms.
We gave someone our resume, got our height measured, then waited for the recruiters to come in the room. There were two flight attendants who read off a sheet of paper information about the company, what the job requires, training, pay and about relocating. This was short-about 25 minutes. They then opened up a question and answer session. That lasted about 15 minutes. Then they gave us a 15 minute break to think about if this job was for us.
After the break we began the interview process. One by one we went up to the front of the room and told them why we'd be a great flight attendant. You could feel the nervous energy and it was very hot in the room. About half of the people did really well while you could tell who hadn't prepared.
I will say I did have my speech prepared and had practiced many times. But my nerves got the best of me and I totally screwed it up.
After a little over an hour, we finished. They gave us another break so they could pick who they wanted a face to face with. They posted two lists of 12 people in about 25-30 minutes. There were a few people on the list I knew would get the interview because they nailed their speech. I was surprised as some who also made it through. But I guess you never know what they are looking for.
This interview process was completely different than my group interview a few weeks ago and from what I've heard from others. I wasn't very impressed with the way they presented their company.
Overall I will take this as a lesson and learn from it :)
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
