    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Sleep Outfitters (Columbus, OH) in February 2014.

    Interview

I met with Steven Kyger at the Polaris store on Gemini Pkwy, in February of 2014. The interview was professional and courteous. I was hired immediately and started that week. I was confident that I would get the job because I have managed mattress stores in Texas and Florida and was very successful.

    Interview Questions

    • Steven wanted to know how I preferred to be paid. Hourly or Commission. What part of town I lived in. My method of Meet, Greet, Ask, Solve and Closing procedure.   1 Answer

    Store Manager Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sleep Outfitters.

    Interview

I answered a Craigslist and drove to the interview. It was pretty informal-- the District Manager's assistant talked to me for about thirty minutes, then sent me on to the DM for the interview. He didn't ask me any of the standard cheesy interview questions. He set my resume down, never looked at it, and we just chatted. When we got done, he offered me the job, which I thought was pretty cool.

    Interview Questions

    • This is what I remember most. He took my resume, glanced at it, and then set it down, saying, "I don't really need to look at this. I mean, we could sit here and I could ask you about your work experience and your qualifications and I could say, 'Tell me about something that makes you happy at work,' but we don't really have to do that. You see, here's the reality: I don't like salespeople. I don't like for people to try to tell me what to buy. I don't want to hire fake salespeople. I want to hire real people. I want to hire someone who is actually interested in other people and wants to help others succeed. At the end of the day, we need someone who is friendly and has good character. I want to hire you because you are a good person."   Answer Question

First initial interview is with the HR Generalist over the phone. Second interview is with the District Manager and went well. Third interview is the VP of Sales.
