The day started at Southwest’s headquarters in a large lobby where the staff welcomed us with a fun, high-energy performance to get everyone excited and comfortable. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly from the start—it really felt like they were trying to make you feel at home. We then moved into a conference room where a group presentation covered information about the company, the role, and what to expect from the job. After that, candidates were called out one by one for individual interviews. The interview was conducted by two Southwest employees. They were very kind and welcoming. The interview itself was structured but conversational. They asked several questions, but the experience felt fast-paced and engaging—not overly stressful. At the end of the interview, I was offered the job on the spot! I then completed the Physical Performance Standards Test (PPST), passed the physical exam, and even got my photo taken with props just for fun. After that, I headed back to the airport and flew home, later receiving instructions for fingerprinting and drug and alcohol testing and training dates.

The interview was on zoom in 2022. It was with a recruiter and flight attendant. They were very nice and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. The whole interview took around 30 minutes.
