I normally do not do these reviews, but I did have a pretty negative experience for this position that I feel is worth sharing.
The first round was a standard behavioral interview with a recruiter who was very nice. They asked questions that would normally be asked (Tell me about yourself, why SpaceX, why now). It went well and I moved on to what I thought was the next round. I was given a heads up by the recruiter to look more into the technology and how it works, as well as to freshen up on Market Access Frameworks, which is expected for a Market Access position.
A phone interview was set up for later in the week. The interview was not at all what I expected. It was set up for half an hour. The interviewer called 10 minutes late and proceeded to say this was the final round for the position (which through me off a bit) and that this was her first final round interview that she has ever conducted, as well as she has only been in her position for a short time. I got the impression immediately that she was not prepared for the interview, nor did she want to talk to me. She went on to explain her career and her background for the next couple of minutes. After this was completed, there were only 9 minutes left for her questions and any questions I could ask her about her experiences/the position. She asked 3 questions, all of which did not relate to the position and were vague in nature.
They were: Tell me about yourself? How do you communicate? Do you talk to clients?
She let me ask 2 questions about the position and group before the time was up. She let me know that I would hear back in a couple of weeks.
After following up and getting radio silence back, I was notified that the team thought my technical experience was not suited for the position, even though I work in the relative industry.
It was a bit frustrating to be given that feedback considering I was never asked any questions to display my technology knowledge, nor was I asked about any of my experiences in the final round.
