I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks in May 2020
Interview
I was a returning partner. Within 90 days a shift supervisor position opened up and my store manager recommended me for the position. For the interview , I brought home baked cookies and a coffee press completely prepped for a coffee tasting. There were the standard retail questions like “tell me about a time...” but 90% of the interview was just having a conversation. The manager was really testing to see if she would enjoy working with me since I already had a recommendation from my store manager on performance.
The interview process was low stress, and I was offered a drink by a barista while waiting for the manager. We spoke about my previous relevant work experience, and how I've handled different situations with customers.

It was not as bad as I thought, they asked me about my values, we talked about experiences with customers ( they are very big on treating customers right so a big emphasis on this) and time management

Applied online, then called the store a week later, said they weren’t hiring for that position actually and then 3 weeks later got a random call for an interview. Two rounds of interviews
