I applied online. I interviewed at Stryker (Redmond, WA)
Interview
I have interviewed for Stryker on 2 occasions. The 1st time years ago was great. Virtual recruiter screen, then hiring manager virtual interview, then a Gallup test, then a day of onsite interviews. I was treated well and communication was good but another candidate was chosen.
The 2nd time recently was odd. The recruiter did not show up to our screen interview. No apology or explanation was given. I rescheduled using their scheduling tool. During the rescheduled interview, the recruiter showed up late, seemed to be struggling with English, and asked unclear questions as a result. When I asked for clarification on the questions, they were unable to provide more detail so I just had to answer the original question based off what I thought they may be asking. Afterwards I received an automatic rejection email. This role may not have been the best fit for me but the interview process was confusing and felt less respectful of my time than the last time I interviewed with them. The company seems like a great place to work, but the interview process could differ significantly depending on who the recruiter is

Interview
The hiring process consists of several parts, the main ones being in order: Recruiter Phone screening, hiring manager phone screening, Gallup interview, and On-site interviews. The first two of those are pretty easy, but the Gallup interview is a little bit more difficult. The best thing you can do is be truthful in your answers and don’t over think it; be yourself. The on-site interviews will vary from position to position, but it’s just what it sounds like. Your interview with several other people in similar positions as well as HR representative. It’s an overall fun and positive experience. A good thing to remember is if you make it to the on-site interviews it means they want you based on your experience and interview results, they are just making sure your the right fit for the Stryker family… so once again be yourself:)
