I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stryker (San Jose, CA) in Dec 2014
Interview
First they called me to do a screening, and then had a third party company call and interview me. The third party interviewer called at 7am on January 1st which was tough because it was New Years Eve the night before. I felt that the interview went well and then two days later I got an email saying they decided to go a different route. Interesting that a student from a top 10 school academically and an athlete could not get an intern job here
The online assessment was challenging due to time constraints; overall, I would rate it as moderately difficult, requiring strong problem-solving skills, speed, and accuracy to complete within the limited duration.
The interview process was straightforward and organised. It began with an initial screening call where they asked about my background and interests. This was followed by a short technical/assignment round and a final conversation with the team. Overall, the communication was clear, timelines were shared in advance, and the interviewers were friendly and professional.
