I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stryker (San Luis Obispo, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
For an internship, there are several interviews. The first is typically at the career fair, where they select people for on-campus interviews. The on campus interview was a short interview, one-on-one with a rep asking pretty basic questions and a rapid fire round. The next interview is over the phone with the polling company Gallup. After that one is a series of on-site interviews. After each interview, they down-select their candidates.

Interview
Video interview. Asked questions about the resume and projects. Asked about the willingness to relocate to the job location. Asked about the role I'm interested in and how I see myself in 5 years
The process was very thorough, but very well organized and articulated. Career fair interview, Initial screening interview, HR manager screening interview, Gallup test, full day of interviewing (manager interviews, technical interview, potential future peer interviews). Overall, I was very impressed.

Interview
Met with recruiter at a career fair, then in person interview with another recruiter on my campus, phone interview through Gallup (intense), and then flew me to an on-site interview(s) in Salt Lake City. Last one was basically 6 interview back to back.
