During my recruiter interview, I was left with a very positive impression because the recruiter kept validating my answers, even saying 'wonderful' or 'great' a couple of times after I spoke. However, I don't need to hear 'wonderful' if the actual outcome of the process is going to be the exact opposite. In most of my interviews with other companies of various sizes, recruiters remain neutral and simply polite. This approach is much preferred, as it doesn't set false expectations for either a positive or negative outcome. I sent a separate, very polite email asking for feedback on why I was rejected, but I never received a response. It is completely contradictory and misleading for a candidate to hear 'wonderful' after their answers, only to be rejected with zero feedback.
