Interview
I interviewed for the Hybrid Development Rep (HDR) role and had an excellent experience. The process was transparent and well-structured: (1) recruiter screen covering role expectations, light behavioral questions, comp, and timeline, (2) manager interview including behavioral questions and a cold call role play exercise, (3) final round with two managers diving deeper into coachability, past experiences, and growth mindset.
What stood out: Toast provided Sandler methodology materials upfront, compensation was disclosed immediately (no games), and the feedback loop between rounds was excellent. The manager's coaching after the role play showed their development culture in action. Timeline was ~2 weeks total. They're genuinely looking for coachability and work ethic over perfect execution. The role play tests your ability to build rapport and probe for pain - study their process beforehand. Overall, one of the most respectful and transparent interview processes I've experienced in sales. They practice what they preach about coaching culture.

Their job posting was completely off from the actual OTE and base. They also post the base based on your location, but there is no way to find out where you land. Since it doesn't matter for the role and only for AEs. Pretty sure posting a false salary for roles is illegal but I thought they were great talked to several past and current employees and im good off toast they sound more burnt if anything

The interview process is broken up into 3 sections. A screening call, then meeting a hiring manager, and ends with a panel. The entire process was very easy and extremely quick to get back to you (usually 2 days tops).
