The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
When I handed in my application I had a 'screening' with the Captain that lasted about 15 minutes. A couple days later he called and we set up a day to come in for an interview, which I had with two managerial level crew members. A few days after that they called again and we set up another interview date, which I again had with two more managerial level crew members. I received an offer two days after the final interview and began the following day. The entire process lasted about 3 weeks. It was a fairly easy process throughout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the questions was about my former jobs and how/if I dealt with conflict in the workplace. I was also asked to describe what my former boss would say about me and my work. They also asked me what I knew about the company, my general availability, if I had any questions, and other common interview questions like that.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
