I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TrueCar (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Went to a university career fair, recruiter contacted me to set up a phone interview, phone interview went well with the interviewer wanting to schedule an in-person interview, and he told me that the recruiter would reach out as soon as he could, but the recruiter never reached out and ignored my emails asking him about the actual in-person interview even though he had responded to my emails beforehand. Disrespectful.

Interview
I had four interviews: Recruiter, Hiring Manager, Coding, and System Design. I had one of the best coding interviews I ever had with TrueCar. I was asked to create three functions, which I was able to do with time to spare. I then had enough time to refactor the code so that one function could perform the work of the other three and be called by them.
Afterwards, I received a rejection stating they didn't believe my knowledge of Ruby and React was sufficient. Mind you, I was never asked any React-specific questions. When I asked them to please tell me what I could have done differently, they refused to do so

Question 1
Create a function that takes in arrays of votes for restaurants and returns a winning restaurant

Interview
I was invited to an initial interview, and nobody showed up. I attempted to reschedule and confirmed a date for the next week, however, was not able to get back in contact with my interviewer, and once again nobody showed up.
Talked to the recruiter and was completely ghosted out after that. No response to any of the follow up emails. A rejection email would have been helpful for candidates to honor the time they spend in submitting the applications.
I'm sorry you had that experience. When candidates aren't selected for the next round of interviews, they always receive email communication at a minimum. I think there's a good chance that communication may have been caught in your spam filter.
