Question 1
Histogram SQL question
Putting a certain metric into buckets
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Twitch (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
Applied online, got an invite few hours later.
1 Hiring Manager Screen, 1 Tech Screen, 6 onsite interviews.
Other than the tech screen and 1 round onsite, most questions are behavioral questions asking about the experience in BI/Analytics. Talk about yourself, why Twitch, etc. One thing to note is that you are being interviewed by people you will be working with, not people with similiar position, which I think makes is very interesting.
Everyone (from HR to interviewers) are super nice and passionate about what they do, I enjoyed all my interactions with them.
Heard back a week later after onsite.
The recruiting team was amazing during this entire process, they were super responsive and helpful. My recruiter was especially transparent, it really seems he wants to do what he can to make sure I am happy.

Question 1
Tell me a little bit about yourself.
Why Twitch?
Tech questions are straightforward with a twist, very interesting.

Interview
Basic phone screen followed up with an hour SQL session via CodePad. Thought it went well from a completion standpoint as I was able to go through each problem that was asked. However, interviewer left zero time for me to ask questions at the end, received no further communication from the recruiter, and finally received an auto generated email a week later. I can see why the average rating for Twitch is below 3 stars.

Question 1
Simple table schema with questions increasing in difficulty as you go along. Nothing harder than some self-joins and generating BINs for histograms.
