Interview
This was my 2nd time inquiring about the same job. I first applied in Sept 2013. The first step was to tour the facility with other applicants. After the tour, I decided that more money would've been nice, but it wasn’t absolutely necessary at the time and declined the opportunity to interview. Fast forward to Aug 2015…my family size has since doubled and I am now in need of additional income. I applied again, went on another tour, and scheduled an interview for the next morning. After the weird interview I was told that I would hear from them if I was selected. I haven’t heard from them almost 3 weeks later so I’m assuming I wasn’t selected.
It doesn’t seem as if they’re “UPS as a 2nd job” friendly. During both tours, and during the one interview, the HR reps seemed to be preoccupied with saying how physically difficult the job was…and almost doubting that you can do the job at all, especially it if you already another job. That's what made the interview weird. It literally almost turned into a debate about my ability and motivation to do the job. It was really dumb.
But ultimately, i think it was my inflexibility to work overtime during my selected shift (4am-9am). The ability to work overtime is a requirement for the job.

Signed up and got the job. Have to pass a drug and background test. They're constantly looking for bodies, with generally high attrition rate for new hires. The guys that get through the probationary period typically stay a long time, many until retirement.
Straight forward, to the point. Question and answer style. Can you manage to move X amount of packages in Y amount of hours? How well do you deal with difficult personalities?
