I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty in Nov 2009
Interview
I applied online and then I was called for an interview several weeks later. I had ever forgotten that I applied there, that's how long it took.
Someone called me for the interview and we scheduled the interview for the next day.
I walked into the store 10 minutes early and I told the cashier at the counter my name and that I was there for an interview. It took the manager a few minutes to come to the front but when she came she was very nice and took me to the back. She sat me down and asked me questions like What is your best customer service experience? Tell me something about your background. Do you have any retail experience? I said no. She also asked me how my previous job would help me in this position. And like my availability and things like that. It was actually really short...like 15 minutes. I'm not sure what that was all about.
Anyways, she hasn't called me back and its been about 9 days...I'm not really expecting her to...
An interview at Ulta is a professional meeting where candidates showcase their skills, customer service abilities, and passion for beauty products. It allows hiring managers to evaluate if you align with Ulta’s values, culture, and expectations for the role. During the interview, you may discuss your previous retail experiences, knowledge of beauty trends, teamwork, and how you handle customer interactions. Preparing for common questions and demonstrating enthusiasm, reliability, and strong communication can significantly boost your chances of success in joining the Ulta team.

Very easy compared to other interviews. Pleasant experience. Manager was very friendly easy to talk too. The questions were not difficult and basic for the most part. Very fast and no more than 15 minutes
