      Flight Attendant Interview

      Aug 18, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Aug 2012

      Interview

Just like the previous reviews say, they email a while after you apply, I was flown out to Houston for a "Group Interview" 8/17/2012, where you walk in, hand your resume to the recruiters, then watch a presentation with 70ish other potentials, hear a briefing on expectations and then you can ask questions, followed by a 1 on 1 interview. The lady called me into a small room for my interview, explained that it was going to be a a very quick process and she just wanted to ask a few questions. I was dressed in a black suit, very clean cut shave, was smiling and enthusiastic about the whole time. The interview questions were very general, and she was writing down everything I was saying. She seemed to be pleased by all of my answers. I answered every question very promtly and professional. She asks you to read an annoucement, then asks if you have questions for her. I played 20 questions with her reguarding her experience and being with the company for 14 years, we got a little off track at that point, but the over all interview felt very good. As she walked me out she explained I was her First interivew, then told me after that day, she needs to write my review and If they considered me, I'd be contacted by email again with information on the next training classes that begin in October. She said the email would have the Background check, Credit check, and info about the drug test in it as well. She said the hiring process becomes different based on the availability and resources that day. So dont believe if your not hired on the spot you wont get it. ***While waiting for the shuttle back to the airport, there were trainees outside that I spoke with. Only a few of them were hired on the spot. The others did receive an email (similar to the one inviting you to the interview) inviting them to join training.*** I felt this interview was very easy, the questions are general and you should already have it in your head Why you want to be there, and what you can bring to the table. I walked out confident with a smile on my face as where the rest of the applicants who were also waiting to leave were upset and felt like there interviews didnt go as well as mine. It was a nice experience. For those who previously wrote reviews on finishing early and having to wait 5-6 hours for your flights: You are all idiots, it's an airport and United is a huge company, you can go to the ticket counter and change your flights to go home earlier.

      Interview

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening. Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test. Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
