I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Sep 2012
Interview
Like other applicants I applied for the flight attendant position months ago and finally heard back form the airline that my application was being reviewed and if selected I would be invited to attend a group interview in Houston, TX. I was selected and was flown into Houston the day before the group interview. I had to pay for my own hotel but that was ok, no problem. The day of the interview several other applicants and myself arrived at the training center where we were directed to a nearby room to sign in. Sitting at a long table were a group of recruiters who were taking applicant names and resumes. After a short time one of the recruiters showed the group a short video about the Airline and answered a few questions then the head recruiter went into further details about the position (ex. reserve status, hubs and relocation etc.) he also advised that the interview would be very short , they were only going to ask each applicant a few question then you could go to the airport to get an earlier flight if you wanted to. One by one the same recruiters that were checking in the applicants called people in for their 1:1 interview.

Question 1
The questions were not difficult but were all customer service based in nature. There were questions like, describe a time when you had a conflict with a co-worker. What were the results?

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
