I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Costa Mesa, CA) in Sep 2011
Interview
I applied online and took an assessment test, I then received an email asking me to come take an assesment test on site. I scheduled that, took the test the test itself is only about 20-30 minutes but they also have you resubmit your application online and check for errors. The assesment test consisted of navigating different computer screens, and responding to fake calls...it was the exact same test I took when i initially apllied at home. They then checked my computer score escorted me out of the room and scheduled an interview with a recruiter for thew next afternoon. I had the interview that day, it was 1:1 with the recruiter asking me questions to reveal my personality such as tell me about a time you witnessed a co worker deal with an ethical dilima, and also just asked me about my work history. Then she told me I would be emailed in 2-3 and let me know yes or no on 2nd interview... but she actually ended upcalling me directly almost immediatly after my interview to schedule my 2nd interview with the hiring manager, she scheduled me for the next morning but ended up calling back to reschedule because neither managers would be onsite that day. I had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager about 4 days later same sort of questions, almost the exact questions.. we really just had more of a conversation I was more nervous with the recruiter then I was with the actual hiring manager! He then told me I would hear back within 10 days , but instead I was contacted the next morning to give me the "contingiant job offer" ..must pass backround check and drug screen.
