The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Valley Forge, PA) in May 2011
Interview
First had a phone interview which lasted a half hour. Mostly behavioral questions. I was then asked to come have a 1:1 interview. About a week later had interveiw which consisted of 3 hour interviews. The first 2 were with 2 people and last one with one. Everyone was very friendly and I thought it was an overall positive experience. Called me back about a week and a half later to let me know the result.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in May 2025
Interview
Vanguard uses "Ava", a communication and scheduling tool, which, for the most part, works well but has its limitations. Internal recruiters, interviewers were all great to speak with and very knowledgeable and transparent about the roles and expectations. Difficult to get in due to much promotion internally, and must be a culture fit for certain.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Charlotte, NC) in Jan 2023
Interview
Know how to answer STAR questions, they are 100 % necessary for the interview. Typical interview process, know your technical skills. Overall nothing too difficult or out of the ordinary.
