You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Online interview (where prompts pop up on the screen and you record a short video reply to each), then a Skype interview. Once hired, you take online quizzes to determine your ability to teach general subjects, and they look at your past standardized test scores if you would like to tutor the SAT/ACT/GRE/LSAT/etc.
