I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (Scottsdale, AZ) in Jan 2014
Interview
Phone Interview- describe yelp and position
onsite - 2 interviews with account manager and associate accounts manager
role play - customer not seeing results from yelp ad program and customer who received negative feedback
Dont be overly analytical - see answer for role play scenarios - I believe the reason why I did not receive offer based on 2 factors.
Also, when you ask for feedback, they are going to give yourself feedback first.
Employee turnover must be an issue - no offer received based on my 'background' which they could have reviewed my resume and excluded me initially... unless it was actually my 'qualifications' or experiences. I believe they need to be a bit more direct.
Standard filtering/fluff questions followed by a Mock sales pitch. It was not very different from other Sales/CS roles that I have applied to. It was not very difficult or novel at all.

I just had a quick screening call, and it was really focused on sales, more than on customer service. Cold calling is a big part of the role, and commissions don’t start until about 6 months in.
