I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
First there was a phone interview, then an on site interview and then another phone interview about 4 days later. It just seemed very redundant. Everybody asked you the same questions and there was a lot of role playing. The role playing in my opinion was difficult because you obviously don't work there yet so the best advice I have is to listen to their feedback and apply it to the second round of role playing that they have you do. It proves that you are coachable.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
