      Sales Representative Interview

      Oct 24, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yodle (New York, NY) in Sep 2011

      Interview

I traveled down to NYC to have a 1 on 1 interview after speaking with one of their recruiters over the phone. My interview lasted only about 10 minutes and was a complete waste of my time. I have a background in sales and marketing and I was asked which area I would rather work in and replied that I'd be willing to throw my hand into either one because I have experience in both. Apparently they'd like you to have your heart set on one item. How can a recent graduate find what he really wants if not given the opportunity to experience both? Shortly after answering that questions the interview was over. Definitely not a company I'd want to work for if you're open to learning different processes.

      Interview

It was a two part interview process, the first of which was over the phone. The second interview was broken down into two parts: sitting in a phone call with a sales rep and then a one-on-one with the hiring manager.

      Application

      Interview

The interview itself easy interview. First they will call you and do a short phone interview and will then schedule you to come in face to face. First you will be asked to shadow another rep on the phones for about 20 min. They will then take you to an interview room describe the job to you, ask you a few standard interview questions then ask you to read a script. They will hire anyone with any background. They just want to know if you are willing to make dials all day, talk to people all day and get hung up on.
