POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the staging, setup, operation and inspection of product from multiple production lines. Must keep accurate records and follow relevant procedures. Attention to detail is required. In addition to the responsibilities of a Line Operator, Level II adds the key element of successfully training Line Operators; in conjunction with the Training Coordinator.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to run multiple lines, this includes machine start up, machine set ups, running line, quality checks, line cleans, roll changes, roll gap adjustments, and machine shutdown.
• Sets the 5S standard for working area and execution of process.
• Highlights opportunities for improvement directly to Operators and escalates to Management as needed.
• Identifies and communicates process improvement, standardization and instruction clarity opportunities to responsible Process Engineers.
• Solves basic dimensional problems, visual and camber problems and troubleshoots safely and quickly reducing or eliminating unnecessary downtime.
• Operates multiple Advantek machines according to the established procedures and work instructions of the pertinent operation and producing quality work set by the department in compliance with the quality goals of the organization.
• Utilizes continuous visual inspection/observation of finished product ensuring that only good products pass through. Responsible for meeting quality goals and objectives set by the Company/department.
• Reporting safety considerations to immediate superior.
• Accurate and legible labeling of product and boxes.
• Accurate transactions in inventory system (barcode/data entry).
• The ability to lift up to 55lbs on occasion.

• Minimum of 5 years in a machine operator capacity
• Extrusion experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
