About Goldfish Swim Schools: Goldfish Swim Schools is the national leader in teaching children water safety and swimming skills in a fun, supportive, and professional environment. Across our 160+ locations, including our growing hubs in Westchester County, we are committed to constant innovation. We don't just teach swimming; we are building a world-class business operation that leverages technology to provide the best experience for our families and team members.
The Opportunity: We are launching a small, elite Innovation Group for Summer 2026. This is not your traditional lifeguard or deck-assistant internship. We are looking for technically curious college students to help us apply modern data tools, AI, and automation to materially improve how our schools operate.
As part of this group, you will work on practical, high-impact projects and gain unique exposure to the intersection of small business operations and technology investment through our partnership with Boardman Bay.
What You’ll Do: You will build tools and generate insights that directly affect our bottom line. Key projects include:
- Business Intelligence: Design and build dashboards tracking enrollment trends, instructor utilization, and class capacity.
- AI Sentiment Analysis: Use AI tools to analyze customer feedback and reviews to help us better understand why families join or leave.
- Workflow Automation: Identify recurring manual reports and create automated systems to streamline manager workflows.
- Sales & Growth Tools: Explore AI-driven ways to assist with sales follow-ups, trial conversions, and local community referral monitoring.
- Executive Research: Top-performing interns may assist with data research and AI workflows for Boardman Bay, gaining exposure to how technology investment firms analyze companies and industries.
Who You Are:
- Academic Background: Ideally a current college student studying Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Economics, or Engineering.
- Technically Curious: You don’t just use technology; you like building with it. You enjoy solving real-world business problems through data.
- Tool Kit: Comfortable using (or eager to master) Excel, Python, and modern AI platforms like ChatGPT/Anthropic for professional workflows.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You naturally think about how to make processes better, faster, and smarter.
- Strong Communicator: You can translate data into insights and present them clearly to our school managers and executives.
Program Structure:
- Duration: 10–12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Hybrid Model: A mix of remote analytical work and in-person visits to our Westchester schools to see operations in action.
- Mentorship: Weekly progress check-ins with leadership and a final presentation to showcase your group's innovations at the end of the summer.
Why Join Us? At Goldfish, we believe in "Swimming into Opportunity." We offer a supportive, high-energy environment where your ideas are valued. This internship provides:
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI and automation tools.
- Exposure to executive-level decision-making.
- A collaborative "Innovation Group" culture.
- Competitive compensation and meaningful professional development.
