Mission: Our Vision
Inland’s vision is growth—for our customers, our team members and our community. Inland creates the environment in which opportunities can be discovered and nurtured, and potential can be realized.
Everyone at Inland knows why we do things the way we do, because how we work is important. Our people see a real pride and internalize it. It’s not the Midwest work ethic, although we don’t mind being respected for how hard we work. It’s better than that, even inspired.
We have frequent conversations about aligning our practices with our values. We keep honing, refining. We talk about the magic that happens when people collaborate, and feel the energy when we are part of a development team. We are always searching, learning, and finding ways to make our work product better.
We know how to make things work. And we pay attention to things that work remarkably well so we can make the most of it, learn from it, and apply it to the next project for the next customer. That’s how you build expertise.
How we work is unique to us. It is a combination of our processes, watchful eyes, excitement in creating something new, and commitment to doing things well. With each repeated trip to a grocery or big box store, every Inland family member comes to learn which product packaging was developed and produced here. The pride comes through every time.
An Inland career is an opportunity to create something exceptional. It means being an important part of a dynamic team.
Knowing our contributions are valued keeps us motivated and eager to embrace what’s next. Because we are an innovative company, there are many opportunities to learn new skills and work with new technologies. The pace at Inland is energizing.

An award-winning workplace
We take pride in attaining excellence in safety, quality and productivity. Inland has received awards from numerous organizations and from our customers. Our work is excellent. Just as importantly, we take care of each other.
There is something different about Inland.
A leader in advanced packaging technology, Inland Packaging has an impressive track record. Over the last seven decades, we have expanded dramatically into new products and new markets. Our tradition of inquiry and problem-solving—plus our substantial investment in new technology—have expanded our capabilities and made our culture of innovation possible.
Long known as the premier label printer for the big beer brands and the entire craft brewing industry, Inland has risen to prominence in new categories such as in-mold labeling (IML) and smart packaging. We now work collaboratively with brand owners and industry partners to advance innovative, best-in-class solutions for food, beverage and consumer product packaging.
Our history and our trajectory of success are points of pride, but they didn’t happen spontaneously. A solid work ethic is undoubtedly part of our success.
Other important elements about Inland’s character are harder to document, but in a word, Inland is family. It is a third-generation, family-owned company based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, built on relationships. The relationships began within our walls, among Inland employees, suppliers and customers. Over decades, they have flourished, becoming an extended network of strategic supply chain and customer relationships worldwide.
Three generations of Inland leaders have instilled in us a deep commitment to the communities in which we live.
Back in 2000 the Glendenning Family Foundation was formed as a way to share the success of the family business. Year after year the foundation has allocated funds throughout our communities to help improve the lives of area youth.
We have focused much of our support on United Way. Matching contributions from Inland are directed by United Way to local programs helping families and at-risk youth. Additional organizational support includes:
At Inland, you have the opportunity to be a part of something bigger. To make an impact in a real and significant way. It’s woven into the thread of our company and shines bright in our communities.
I have been working at Inland full-time
Inland is a family owned company led by people who really do care about their employees. I felt that when I first walked in the door and I still feel it today. The culture at Inland is evident by the large number of long term employees that work here. Many people have been here for 20+ years. The pride in the work done day in and day out is unbeatable. Inland also really values growing their employees, often promoting from within and providing educational opportunities to employees. Aside from that, Inland is a very family-friendly place to work, with great work-life balance. Pay is excellent, work is appreciated, and people are friendly. It's truly a team, and I love coming here every day.
Inland is a growing company spread out over numerous locations. Any company in the same situation is going to experience some growing pains. However, while change can be difficult, I think it's important to look at it for what it really is: opportunity. I feel that the continued growth and success of Inland as a company only means greater opportunity for all employees.
Advice to Management
Keep communication open to all employees and find ways to seek their feedback.
I applied online. I interviewed at Inland (La Crosse, WI) in May 2013.
Pretty standard. But had to go through a physical fitness examination. And had to take a test for color vision. I also had to do some testing specific to the job I was applying for, but not sure if they do that anymore.
