I have been working at Rochester Software Associates as an intern (More than a year)
Interesting and varied work for co-ops, with learning opportunities in all aspects of web development. The team is knowledgeable and great to work with. Management is professional and approachable.
Communication between departments is sometimes poor, and Intern pay isn't the most competitive.
Advice to Management
Many prospective interns seem to be turning down offers for financial reasons. More competitive pay will be necessary to hire interns in the near future.
The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Rochester Software Associates.
The interview was split up into two parts. The first part was with 5 software engineers. They were really nice guys and asked mostly about my past experiences and some simple object oriented questions. It wasn't too technical, but I'd assume if you don't have much experience it would get more technical. The second part was with HR and the behavioral questions were pretty straightforward and easy. All in all it lasted about 1 hour, maybe a little longer. I would not recommend an internship with RSA unless you are inexperienced and looking for an easy internship. The pay is awful and you will be forced to make a decision far before you get a chance to receive any other potentially better offers (a sketchy tactic).
Reasons for Declining
Although it was an internship, the pay was horribly low to the point where I'd practically be working for free. They also rushed me to make a decision in 3 days without any chance for an extension.
