AJ Tutoring is a team of the finest 1-on-1 tutors in the Bay Area. We’re not just masters of the material we teach; we’re professional teachers who are skilled at connecting with students in a warm and charismatic way. Each tutor was selected from a pool of hundreds of applicants for his or her interpersonal skills and teaching ability. After passing an initial assessment test, all AJ tutors complete a rigorous 50-hour training program before working with students. We are committed to impressing our tutors with a fantastic work environment by providing them with industry-leading compensation, convenience, upward mobility, ongoing support, and dynamic, nerdy-cool co-workers. Many team members are full-time and have been with us for years.

The work of Hope soon gained the attention of President John F. Kennedy, who appointed Dr. Jordan to the President’s Council on Disabilities. At a time when few resources existed for people with disabilities, Hope helped shape policies and services that would transform lives across the country.
