A S0mall Company with Big Problems

Pros

Sorry. Can't think of a pro other than to earn money to pay your bills. HR is the most competent of the corporate staff, and the HR manager is the only one getting anything done.

Cons

It's a body shop with a horrible turn over rate. If you work their for a year, you'll get lots of friends, because the desk next to you will see 2 or 3 people during that time. If you raise any concerns or ways to improve or innovate, you're a disruptive force. The CEO is almost non-existent, and the VP is unprofessional and lacks ethical integrity, so your best bet is to either go through HR to get things done or keep your nose to the grindstone with blinders on. If you have a disagreement with a customer, get your resume ready because the management team won't support you. Middle management is disconnected from the corporate leadership team. If I could rate them 0 stars, I would.

Nothing Special, No Value Adds

Pros

Convenient HQ location, one stellar contract, two fantastic PMs that have a lot of knowledge to share.

Cons

Starting from my initial interview, I was lied to. I was told that the company held very specific certifications, which was not accurate. When I started, I was often told that the information I needed existed "somewhere on the SharePoint" which was often untrue. I was told there would be bountiful evidence of stellar past performance references...a lie. If you interview for this role, ask about their CPARS. You won't find any leadership here. Over six months or so, there was a significant brain drain. It seemed to be a growing pattern of scapegoating for issues the owner was responsible for. These critical team members were not replaced, nor did the owners realize that they were critical. Frankly, this company is not prepared to fight through this market. I would not go back to 1 Source, or recommend that anyone work there.

Lacks transparency, communication, and direction

Pros

A good location, reasonable salary.

Cons

Senior Management does not talk to or look out for employees, provides very little direction and only talks to you if you're doing something wrong. Poor work ethic among a lot of employees, and hard workers do not get recognized. No corporate culture. Turn over is very high. Most of the time they're just looking to put butts in seats.
