I have been working at Access full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very innovative company where the CEO and management are directly involved. Access really cares and invests in their employees. Access hosts breakfast and treat days on a monthly basis. They also host various events throughout the year, including a Holiday luncheon with numerous give-a-ways and prizes. Most companies have cut these types of activities in order to save money. Access continues to do more for their employees. There is a lot of opportunity for career advancement and growth.

    Cons

Perimeter Mall area is a popular area. Traffic can sometimes be congested but the area is very convenient.

Beautiful building and amenities - including a free gym! Great work/life balance and competitive salaries. Access is filled with great people who care about their jobs.

    Pros

The hours are 10-7 and you get to say "no" a lot because it is non standard

    Cons

I have been here about a year. They cut corners financially in every way possible. They put every possible obstacle in front of you so that you can’t perform your job. I have had a broken phone for about a year and no one has helped me. When I got here my keyboard had crumbs in the crevices so deeply, they must have used it for the past 10 years. They have an issue retaining talent because the pay is unreasonable and they do not give fair bonuses so they hire underqualified and un vetted representatives and put them on the floor. When they fail and leave their pending goes to the talented adjusters that are already overworked. I am quite confident that they also accept reduced rent for less parking spaces at this building. Every day there is a parking issue and access employees have to park at the mall or in guest parking. They were also offering overtime for a while (working on the weekends) which was basically forced due to the high intake.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, pay people fairly, treat them well and they’ll stay. The retention issue is because the managers only care about the bottom line. They care about making the company look productive and profitable. Those numbers are false though.

I'm happy to make a response here. A keyboard costs like 20 bucks. No one here wants to make an employee unhappy over a 20 dollar keyboard. Same goes for the phone. Your phone is crucial to your ... More

    Cons

    Advice to Management

I worked at Access full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tthe Ravinia building offered a more professional setting versus where the company was before.

    Cons

The place was full of highly toxic management and highly toxic co-workers because they don't care to hire talent. They hire cheap labor. This place felt like a factory or mill where everyone was just enslaved into thinking inside the box. No room for upper movement unless you fall in favor of management.

    Advice to Management

Hire talent in all areas and learn how to retain talent. Most of the management or key positions live in fear of being out of a job and when they see a dedicated and talented person who knows a bit more they go out of their way to frame them out of a job.
