Pros

It is a feel-good product. Who doesn't like being recognized? Clients (initially) like us and the idea of what we do for them. Free Food - lots of it. If you are "in" that week, management may be generous with points (our currency) so you can buy yourself something nice (if overpriced) from our limited catalogue. There are some very talented people here (caveat: they are not being utilized or recognized) Events and PR are outstanding. I bought into the hype, and some of our clients/prospects do too. Seriously, we should be overpaying these teams b/c they do the best things at the company.

Cons

Seriously wanted to love working here, but it just is NOT going to happen. This company touts itself as a serious software company, but it is just a social cult. If you don't like waking up on Monday wondering if management or the "cool" kids like you, then run. Everyone talks about going public all the time (speaks to the lack of real business experience and maturity). Really? an IPO? There are very few people here that understand what that means. We are not HQ'd in San Francisco. There is a presence in SF, but the leadership and direction come out of Toronto and those ideas are back in 1998 as far as how to compete and win in this space.

Achievers Response

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. To help address your concern regarding our presence in San Francisco, we are headquartered there, however, we work hard to ensure a strong presence across all of our offices. In addition to the overall shared Achievers values and characteristics, each office space has its own unique cultural attributes, complimenting its host city and culture. Our President and CEO, CMO, CRO, and SVP of Product are all located in San Francisco, and its also where our Go-To-Market team hangs out. We put a lot of effort into ensuring alignment across all three offices - including a daily company-wide meeting, monthly company-wide strategy meetings driven by the senior leadership team, our semi-annual company wide retreats, and use of our Cisco Jabber communication system, which makes connecting with our fellow Achievers quick and easy through video conference, instant messaging, and phone calls. In terms of our employee rewards, Achievers offers a wide variety of daily breakfast options, catered lunches, rewards and recognition celebrations, team celebrations, company provided retreats, and much more. Our platform is built to recognize all the hard work our employees put in daily, and our operations team works hard to ensure we have a wide variety of customized reward options for our employees and customers.

Pros

I left! Ability to work from home and avoid the social clique and childishness of staff.

Cons

Don't practice what they preach. Disorganized organization and outlook. Cliquey, unwelcome staff and leadership. Rampant workplace gossip. Unequal pay, no inflation raises. Very little opportunity for advancement. Leadership has been promoted from within and has little to no development or coaching experience. Little evidence to show that the company is truly determined to "change the way the world works". Just squeeze as much money out of its customers as possible.

Pros

Food and drink options are good. There can be an element of fun there as long as Senior Management likes you.

Cons

Company has a High School feel to it, either your "in", or you are uncomfortable. Employees are asked (especially when they first start) to write positive reviews on Glass Door, thus the bulk reviews.
