I have been working at Bitwise full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Personally know higher management and they are good. Quality of work delivered is very good.

    Cons

Salary is not good, insurance used is good but costs a lot for family members, other staff in Office is not so great

    Advice to Management

Pay good to existing good resources they are building blocks of company, hold on to good resources and stop them from leaving company, hire good talent (obviously need to pay more to get them).

I have been working at Bitwise (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nothing much. May be contractors enjoy work life balance.

    Cons

Bad 401K and costly health insurance.

    Advice to Management

Bad 401K which vests fully only after 4 years, and the matching is only 1.5%.Health insurance for family plan is too costly, All the Indian MNC give very good family health insurance from 350-400 dollars a month. For the equivalent plans Bitwise charges $700.Vacation and sick leaves are OK. In spite of the salary being very less, they charge a lot for health insurance which should have been very less since employees transferred to US are paid very less. Hopefully they would reduce the plan cost for health insurance and bring it down to 400 level. Overtime(weekend) is supposed to be paid at 1.5 times the normal pay. But they pay only 25% of what is supposed to be paid. Very bad overtime policy .

I have been working at Bitwise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not many. If you are lucky you will get good project/work at client site. Talented and helpful seniors.

    Cons

No opportunity for growth. Appraisals are bad even if you perform above expectations of client. Appraisals are not based on performance. No training's. Worst benefits. It is very hard to find any pros.

    Advice to Management

Try to retain good employees. It's not that hard.
