    I worked at Boston Store part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Associate discount is great, fun environment if you like fashion or home goods, managers were very approachable and try their best to make their employees happy. Very friendly and professional managers and HR. They are great.

    Cons

    Pay is so extraordinarily low. Associates cannot afford to buy their work wardrobe there, even with the discount. Store is extremely understaffed; customers notice this and complain.

    Advice to Management

    You need to staff the stores more efficiently and effectively. Sometimes there are too many people with nothing to do in a department, and other times not enough. If you listen to your employees and floor managers, they will tell you this, which will save the store time and money.

    Pros

    -great employee discount
    -offered insurance to full and part time employees

    Cons

    -corporate workers are very disconnected with the stores and throw them under the bus with the higher ups
    -budgeted hours don't support the workload of the stores, places a lot of stress the workers
    -run too many $50 off $100 sales too close together, this generates no profit to be able to support the store with more hours in the schedules
    -the store won't back it's own policies, exceptions are always made for customers who are verbally abusive
    -HR doesn't allow for a way to let go of poor employees

    Advice to Management

    -follow it's own policies and procedures
    -admit that you need to invest in your people; provide better training and invest more hours into floor coverage
    -don't be afraid to let go of some customers who are nothing more that repeat returners and who want discounts on merchandise because an imagined slight
    -embrace your company culture and values, don't just give lip service

    Pros

    The people are amazing and the discount is great when there is a big sale.

    Cons

    Horrible hours/pay. Poor training. Can't pick your schedule at all.

    Great atmosphere with team. Great location. Discount works. Learned a lot. I have life long friends from this time at the Boston store

    Long hours I do not know why these surveys want you to be extended for 20 words if you do not have 20 words to say

    I worked at Boston Store (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I worked at the location in Downtown Milwaukee as a flex associate. I had retail experience before and I do my job well so I was given no less than 20 hours a week even though I was supposed to be scheduled 0-19 hours a week. I was happy with this since I was not employed elsewhere.

    My co-workers were nice. Some tension. The managers were always nice and laidback.

    Due to personal reasons, I decided to leave. I couldn't find the positive side of working there and I am an extremely positive person.

    Cons

    The work was regular retail work which I was fine with, peak hours and lots of recovery. But it was not very balanced with workload to associate ratio. I didn't like this part. They need more associates since the sales team also does truck duties, set sales and other duties that support/stock team could do.

    They just need more employees throughout the store so that sales people can focus on sales and not on a whole department AND set sale that never got finished in the morning. I find it odd that the store right below corporate is understaffed.

    Advice to Management

    More associates. More stock/support team associates. More coverage of departments. NOT one associate at each register.

    It is a nice place if you need a part time job, get discounts, great opportunity for advancement

    Cons

    Because it's part time you only get 20 hours a week. I think they should probably give at least 30 hours a week

    Everything at the location I was at was great.
