overwhelming micromanagement

Pros

Good pay, interesting work, reasonable work/life balance, and they are an established company - not a fly-by-night startup, so good job security prospects. Benefits are normal. They have a "flex time" policy too.

Cons

Not much vacation time. They are proud of their values, but the values are no reflection of actual worklife, they are just feel-good wishlist. Time and work is micromanaged to the highest level (they plan your week ahead of time across projects and expect you to track all 40hrs in 15min increments and do not like deviation) and there is no self-direction or organization. They say they want input on ways to improve, but will just file it away without taking any action. Processes are OCD and always changing without communication. There are several layers of management above you, but no teamwork and no real leadership. A very waterfall culture, where everything is top down and one-way. Working here means doing what you are told, without question or hesitation. If you make mistakes, there is no feedback, they just let you go. People are not setup for success.

-Great Culture: Leadership goes above and beyond to ensure that the company culture is front and center. Everyone's feedback is truly valued, HR genuinely cares about the employees, and there are plenty of fun virtual events set up to keep everyone engaged with one another. -Exceptional Delivery - I’ve been in the eCommerce industry for nearly 15 years, and I can confidently say that the quality of work we deliver is exceptional. Our unwavering commitment to our customers' success is at the heart of everything we do -Leadership - All of the members of the leadership team are seasoned eCommerce veterans and true professionals. There's likely little, if anything, they haven’t encountered or successfully navigated

Cons

-We have excellent communication and remote working processes in place, but I would love to see more opportunities for in-person gatherings to further strengthen connections

Pros

CQL has an extremely dedicated crew of collaborative individuals. It is amazing what can be accomplished in a fully remote setting, and the results speak for themselves in the quality delivered for clients. There are other great perks such as a flexible schedule, unlimited paid time off, occasional surprise snack boxes in the mail, and some fun company-branded gear for humans & pets.

Cons

There are not enough regular, and consistent lines of communication for general issues to go up the chain for overall company benefit. Pathways to advancement could have better clarity, and more available documentation.
