    Pros

    Company culture is relaxed. Management provides company updates quarterly. Pay is aligned with industry average. Ambitious and energetic management. Atmosphere of mutual respect.

    Cons

    Company performance ebbs and flows. Several rounds of hiring and firing over the last few years. Not all operational initiatives are executed well or tracked in a meaningful way. Need to invest in professional development of staff.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on a limited number of initiatives and execute with great attention and support. Provide more opportunities for advancement and professional development.

    Pros

    Use to employ talented, strong, strategic, client focused individuals.

    Cons

    Poor, inexperienced management that does not have a client-focused mentality. Company goals and forecasting completely inaccurate which lead to unreachable sales targets, which lead to significant, unexplained employee lay-offs throughout 2015 and into 2016. More lay-offs likely to come as well.

    Advice to Management

    CEO should move back to USA, where 99% of the business takes place anyways. If current mgmt stays, consider investing in some leadership training so they know how to properly run an organization.

    I worked at ClearPoint Learning Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Impressive employees, very good technology group, strong sales lead. They have a nice suite of product offerings specifically data analysis. Team works together.

    Cons

    CEO appears to be dishonest and is rarely there, implementation of jobs have multiple issues and team blames client instead of fixing issues and enforcing quality.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest and forthcoming with employees. Implement changes to quality of work instead of blaming others.

    Pros

    The can-do attitude and camaraderie of the team keep everyone going. The flexibility and work-life balance are phenomenal. Yes you work hard and often odd hours but you can do it on your terms. Lots of respect and empowerment from upper management.

    Cons

    It has been a challenging year for sales and the bottom line but things are really looking up for 2016.

    Advice to Management

    Stay the course for transitioning to a product-focused company and continue to be open and honest with the employees.

    Pros

    ClearPoint offers a flexible, fun, and engaging work environment with opportunity for career growth. As a small business, most employees and contractors have the opportunity to work with global Fortune 500 clients around the world. There is a concerted effort by the leadership team to create a work/life balance through flexible working hours/locations. The global headquarters are located in Hoboken, NJ and are extremely convenient bus/train/car ride for anyone in NYC, NY, NJ, PA.

    Cons

    As a small company servicing a number of large customers can require a number of team members to work extended hours occasionally. The office space – which will be changing in the near future – isn't anything special.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to set expectations and vision for the status and direction of the organization on a regular basis.

    Pros

    My favorite kind of company is one where titles are less important than people and team members are invited to bring their strengths and ideas to all kinds of situations and projects. ClearPoint fits that bill for me! It is a culture open to change and growth in terms of doing new things while also maintaining a very flexible and friendly atmosphere. Managers and team leaders look for opportunities for others to grow their skills and contribute in unexpected ways.

    I have the opportunity to work across a number of teams and see the strong client relationships in a variety of projects. It is a pleasure to work with such talented and appreciative clients.

    Cons

    Some people prefer an environment where things stay the same for long periods of time. For ClearPoint, in offering new products and services and hiring new people, the spirit of change is alive and well. The most successful employees are the ones who maintain their sense of humor and ability to flex with the changes.

    Continue to stay in touch with the employees at all levels and locations.

    Pros

    ClearPoint has a great company culture. Honest and thoughtful leadership. Strategic views of the marketplace along with patience and persistence required to properly execute. Employees are given direction to succeed and autonomy to deliver. Strongest career development opportunities of any place I have worked.

    Cons

    Pace is not for everyone. Things move very fast and sometimes shift on the fly - as dictated by the market. Requires a lot of quick thinking. In many ways, this could also be considered a pro for people who thrive in that environment.

    Advice to Management

    Stay the course but be prepared for change. Remain steadfast in core beliefs, strategies and tactics. Continue to empower your staff.

    ClearPoint is a great place to work. As an employee I feel truly valued and that my opinion matters. There are plenty of opportunities for career growth and development.
