I have been working at Colruyt Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you're lucky, you might get an onsite trip to Belgium. However, that only sounds good on paper.

    Cons

Everything! Especially the team manager. Zero management skills and zero technical knowledge. They're only interested in how to keep their own jobs. Extremely jealous of others' progress, they won't hesitate to pull you down so they can be safe.
In other words, stay jobless but don't accept a job offer at Colruyt!

    Advice to Management

I think its time you shut down your Hyderabad office and allotted everything to outside service providers. Pull up your socks and take care of your employees!

I worked at Colruyt Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

no pros to tell at all.

    Cons

    most employees are unappreciated.
if u hv real talent or genius, u wont be valued. the only ones who get onsite & hikes are the ones who have relations / family working as managers.
higher management is clueless abt what is right & what is wrong. they only want things to be as it has been for all these years. so dont expect change.
    everything is political game.

    Advice to Management

as if anything will change! but this company is on its way to the doom if entire higher management is not reviewed.

    Pros

cafetaria with a small store is convenient

    Cons

HR policies not up-to-date : no chance to work from home, restricted flexible hours

Salaries: not good, especially IT related functions are much lower paid then in other companies

Offices are old, not very exiciting or work friendly. Internal offices without sunshine are common practice. Only "chefs" are granted offices with better conditions

    Braindrain of IT personnel

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people and buildings, recognize potential and make sure Colruyt is ready for the future.

    Remove the hierarchy

    Pros

Technically this should be a good place to work - family owned, Europe work culture. But all of this is illusion only. ONLY pro is onsite assignments. If you have no desire to work abroad, avoid this place like the plague.

    Cons

Oh, where do I begin? Onsite assignments means they make you sign a bond that you shouldn't really sign. And during interviews, they don't mention the bond - just the selling point i.e onsite. Managers are a piece of work - they have NO technical skills, jealous types who will bring you down at any cost. NO managemental skills, beware anyone who has worked here for a long time.
Onsite also, you will not be paid as much as contractors.

    Advice to Management

Pull up your socks, weed out the guys who're stagnating the company.

I worked at Colruyt Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Onsite to Belgium if you're lucky. And that is the only reason people join here.

    Cons

    Basically a body-shopping outlet.
    Managers have zero management skills.
LOTS of politics and gossip. A lot of people get jobs here because they are related to someone already working here. Therefore projects are given not on your credibility but on how closely you're related to someone at the top.
This is basically like an Indian government office, lots of red-tape.

    Advice to Management

You guys need a serious overhaul.
