I have been working at Custom Computer Specialists full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They like to hire people with little experience in IT. Good benefits

    Cons

They don't pay as well as they should

    Advice to Management

Considering most of your employees are on your client's site. you should make a bigger effort to make the employees fell like they work for you and not your client

I have been working at Custom Computer Specialists full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people, flexible hours (if you have the right manager) and lots of group activities. It is a place with people who really care and want to do a good job (most of them).

    Cons

Bloated executive and Management structure. Too many people in charge and not enough workers to do the job, in almost every division. Easy place to sit behind a desk and not doing anything all day. A few core people that do the majority of the work and they are typical not paid the most.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the executives, 1 or 2 leaders is all you need for the amount of workers you have. You have some good people and they don't need a lot of oversight if you had a good leader. Motivation comes from liking your job and the people you work with. Not fear from upper management who throw around power without knowledge.

I worked at Custom Computer Specialists full-time

    Pros

    Nice office environment and parking

    Cons

High turnover and political backstabbing. Owner is in the dark and surrounded by Yes men. Engineers are average at best.

    Advice to Management

Support the people who are actually helping the company instead of your cadre of yes men.

Very professional organization. People are helpful.
Good industry reputation. They continue to advance industry status (most recently, Cisco Master Cert in UCC). Onboarding is top notch from an HR perspective. Seems family oriented.

    Cons

Ops onboarding could be a little more thorough, but help is there when you need it.
Some quoting processes are a little extensive and would benefit from streamlining

I worked at Custom Computer Specialists full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good group of coworkers. Great work life balance - got off work on time every day and hardly ever received an after hours or weekend email.

    Cons

Limited opportunities for advancement. Top heavy organization. Below market pay (non-technical position). Disorganized middle-management - constantly shifting initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Stop posting obviously fake positive reviews on Glassdoor. This is fraudulent and doesn't make you look good to future prospective employees who I'm sure can see right through it.
