    I worked at Dendreon full-time

    Pros

    - Great product. Easy to get excited about and the impact on patients' lives.
    - Great working with colleagues in sales. Lots of collaboration.
    - Great pay. Benefits are average at best. Zero equity in the company.
    - I hear sales strategy has finally been consistent, so that's a plus.

    Cons

    - This once groundbreaking therapy is getting left in the dust by competition getting approval for broader indications and there's been very little done to help the sales team combat these realities. In fact, every effort to explore different avenues are shot down and seen as "distractions".
    - Very little professional development. The only help you will get is from your sales colleagues during windshield time.
    - There's been no continuing education from the home office. Years without a training department.
    - No one in the home office has ever sold this product and it shows. They haven't a clue and think its a breeze.
    - This is the most complex sale in the industry and mgt thinks it only takes "reach and frequency" to win. Top-down support non-existent.
The turnover is crazy and vacancies w/ field partners make it tough to meet customer's needs.
    - You will be let go if you struggle rather than receive help. Many leave before the target gets on their back.
    - Small field force so very tough to advance.

    Advice to Management

Get out into the field and work with the average customer. Stop listening just to KOLs who dont live in the same world as the rest of our physicians.

    Pros

Lots of smart and good people at the company, perfect place to learn. Great work-life balance

    Cons

Pipeline is dry. The company made too many early missteps that makes it difficult to compete in current environment against bigger competitions. Pay and benefit is lower than competition.

    Advice to Management

It's time to take some R&D bets. The company is dying a slow death and bleeding talents consistently.
