Pros

great people at least were in the past before they all left or were laid off remote work, flexible hours good for career start/part-time work

Cons

- Micromanagement! CEO is micromanaging everyone, doesn't care about the employees nor their private time (make sure to silent you phone after work) No point in going beyond the expectations because you won't be noticed and rewarded for it anyways No benefits & Very high turn over rate

Pros

I worked as a Tech Leader in the Austin team for about 2 years. I was responsible for technical decisions, supporting the development team, and collaborating with product owners on product direction and planning. The biggest strength of the role was the real impact on architecture and technical direction. Decisions were not imposed top-down but discussed and shaped within the team, which created a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. The team itself was experienced, which made technical discussions very productive and to the point. I also appreciated the overall work organization – sprint planning was clear, and cross-team communication worked smoothly. Code quality was taken seriously, with proper code reviews, testing practices, and engineering standards being consistently followed rather than treated as formalities. The environment also supported growth – not only in technical depth but also in leadership skills and working with people across different teams.

Cons

The main challenge was the level of responsibility and the number of parallel topics, especially during critical project phases. The pace could become quite intense at times, requiring good prioritization and time management. Overall, it was a very positive experience. A strong place for engineers who want real influence over product direction and enjoy working in a structured, experienced team environment.
