    Approves of CEO

I have been working at DiUS Computing

    Pros

Working with people who know their stuff and want the best for our clients. Lots of opportunity to work on varied technology across diverse industries and domains.

    Cons

Some client gigs are better than others. However individual engagements on a client site aren’t forever and engagement managers are always checking-in and monitoring the wellbeing of the people on-site.

    Advice to Management

Maintaining the essence of the Dius values and principles in a changing technology and business landscape.

I have been working at DiUS Computing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - New office is better than the old one

    Cons

    - Had 2 clients over a year, not much variety at all - Pay reviews aren't great - No day to day management - Very little guidance and training - Management talk up the company but it's very different inside - A lot of people leaving - UX practice is non existent

    Advice to Management

Need to hire more woman. Management don't seem to be able to handle conflict situations very well.

I worked at DiUS Computing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Monthly "back to base" meetups to knowledge share Some smart people.....

    Cons

Sydney office has some weird politics. Undercurrent of demotivated, burnt staff. Toxic vibe. Uncommitted people. Pay isn't spectacular. .. Be wary of base salary vs total remuneration (with super) charade Expect to pay/salary sacrifice for your own laptop!!!! Delivery managers protecting turf. No real project/delivery process. Expect to work on legacy, dreary projects until you earn your stripes, irrespective...

Such a missed opportunity.... Develop staff, practise groups, and processes, nurture the culture. Eliminate toxic individuals. People will leave enmasse to your competitors otherwise.

    Cons

Management all over the shop and disorganised Review process is chaotic Expect too much from consultants. Consultants need to sell cause they don't really have sales people

I have been working at DiUS Computing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

DiUS knows how to attract good people, they are always open to listen to you and hear your suggestions and will support you the best they can so you can buy books, study topics you are interested in, go to conferences and learn new technologies. If you know how to take advantage of the opportunities you can certainly learn a lot.

    Cons

Some clients can be crap and the "come work with us and you will do interesting work" is not always the case. Salary can be below market particularly considering they will want to negotiate it as package instead of base to give you a perception you are earning more than you actually are and therefore people end up leaving the company to earn more somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing on your staff. Get rid of all business as usual type of projects.
