I worked at ENSCO full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free food that was it

    Cons

At the beginning the company was ok people were normal and friendly but then hell broke loss. People started gossiping behind other people and acting childish and just wanted attention and was just jealous that younger people started working there they were freaked out they would get canned because in their minds the younger generations were going to take over and they were so worried they would lose their job which I thought was a hilarious 😆 They make you work hard with low pay. The people there were just annoying and very boring to be around. I couldn’t take it much longer so I started to lose interest working there I then started looking for new work and when they laid me off due to lack of work; I was so thankful. They actually did me a huge favor. I never in my lifetime worked in a place where there was too much drama. I would never in my lifetime go back to work here. It was a huge mistake. The pay is not good and they make you work your butt off. I feel sorry for all the new people who think it’s a good company when it’s not. So many people have left the company. One woman who worked there actually was stalking me so I didn’t feel comfortable or safe. She was mentally ill. I had to run away and hide from her to try and avoid her.

    Advice to Management

You should offer more money or not have people work hard for less pay it’s a lesson to learn or you will lose your good people. The ones who are still there are just either there because it’s a dead end job for them or they are just too old and can’t find another job elsewhere and they will take whatever pay rate you give them. It’s sad but very true!

I have been working at ENSCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to work on big-name projects

    Cons

Depending on the contract you're on, work-life balance can be degraded in order to meet deadlines.

I have been working at ENSCO full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Technically savvy staff (engineers).

    Cons

Too many drama queens, too many that play the victim and too many non-conformist.

    Advice to Management

"Employee management is one of the toughest challenges for business owners. By identifying employees who drain productivity and slow your business growth, you'll be able to remove them and bring in professionals who will help you meet your long-term goals." It does NOT matter how long they have been with you or considered "family." If they are not moving the company forward, time to let go.

I have been working at ENSCO full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Solid mix of small and large company culture. Managers truly care about the employees and work to make sure the environment is enjoyable. Good technical challenges with Avionic Software Design and Hybrid Vehicle Design groups

    Cons

Work product has typical 6 month turn which can make long term employment risky. Though I have been with ENSCO for greater than 8 years and have seen very little turnover

    Advice to Management

Keep working on benefits package. The other companies tend to excel in the areas of healthcare and retirement packages

    I worked at ENSCO full-time

    Pros

The location is nice for most of the year.

    Cons

The management really does not care for the employees at all. They are struggling to receive contracts which has made for an even more chaotic work environment. Mandatory overtime is generally always a thing and the salaries are a complete joke for a engineering firm.

    Advice to Management

Nothing will change until the current management is gone.

    Pros

Smart people and flexible work hours, including work at home. Interesting working on the space program.

    Cons

Small company has no 'bench' if it should loose a contract. It support is remote. No real business development effort.

    Advice to Management

Work on business development. Try for other contracts at ksc and the air force. Improve it support by hiring a local engineer.
