Pros

- Excellent benefits like deferred profit sharing, company vehicle, maternity and paternity leave, 100% educational reimbursement, student loan repayment assistance, child care credits. - Great company to start your career fresh from college, but jump ship or get a buyout after a couples years.

Cons

- Consistent layoffs every two to three years. Typically deep, 10 to 15% of targeted salary band. - Leadership is very bad, many having no direct managing experience or skills. Over time creating a leadership team that has zero ability to understand how to provide direction. Many don’t understand the markets or brands they represent. This has created a toxic culture at the grade 10 higher. - Companies portfolio is restricted in sales by a legal team, making them slow to market products losing competitive edge. - Below market insurance, even though they tell you it’s great. When I started it was great, declined rapidly to terrible over a ten year period. - Targeting and harassment occurs by inept leaders. HR does not respond and buy outs are offered instead, resulting in bad leadership staying in place while good employees leave, increasing workload burden on those staying as positions are not filled. - Selling addictive products that have high potential for cancer, heart disease and many other terrible side effects. You are constantly reminded of this as you put up signs with the warnings every month.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Most jobs have great work/life balance.

Cons

Management invested heavily in data science, Now when senior leaders make their decisions based on gut feelings, they can say that they "used data to make the decision." What they really mean is that they looked at the data and did what they wanted anyway.
