Pros
I have worked in amazon for 1.5 years.The only benefit i see in working at amazon is you get the brand tag on your head thats all. And yes the fool you around with the salary. And if you are lucky enough you can get 1-2 good intellectual people around you.
Cons
Well there are many, but i will list the top ones. 1.They fool you around with the salary. 2.Manager has no job other thn forcing you to send daily emails to increase the visibility. 3.Releases takes so much time. In that period of time start ups launch theri prodcut and get a million dollar evaluation. 4. Stupid people in the team , who only put you down to grow up. Also they treat their manager as their relative just to get 2 % more hike. 5. Hikes are so less. if you are exceeding exception you will get max 10%. also there are possibilities that after a year you don't get anything. 6.I had a technically incapable lady in my team and she got promotions .Lol 7. Work env is so hectic. Over all amazon being a great place to work is a myth.
