Pros
Decent pay, work experience, and benefits for those with only high school diploma Most of the associates are great to work with. Treat them well, and they treat you well.
Cons
The company as a whole, and my building in particular had a really poor work culture including worker's rights violations, ethics issues/blatant misconduct that went unaddressed, and lack of adequate support from leadership. It is also a known issue that it is structured like the military, with internal promos (similar to enlisted) receiving less compensation and slower career advancement compared to external hires (similar to officer). Similarly, the company wide trends showing the higher up in management you go, the less diversity there is (race, gender, etc.) held true for my building, and it was seen in selections for promotions to management. Most managers will give false platitudes with little actual follow through, and they are more likely to make hard workers work more, than hold everyone accountable, resulting in frustration and burnout. Be prepared for unlimited mandatory overtime (pretty much all of Q4).
