Looks fine from afar. Poor experience up close. - Warehouse Worker Amazon Employee Review

Pros

Environment was clean, it’s a safe area with good security, and the cafeteria was large.

Cons

Standing on concrete for twelve hours straight. Most jobs requiring this have mats to stand on to alleviate some of the strain on joints. Amazon doesn’t and it becomes very painful in only a couple days. Nowhere to sit when you have nothing to do. Not allowed to lean on anything either, I was forced to stand in place for up to 30mins at a time waiting for more packages to arrive. Not allowed to leave station to walk down the aisle either, must stay within 10-15ft of station even with nothing to do. Cafeteria snacks were expensive, always bring food from home (there are many microwaves).

Cons

The hours are long which can result in feeling overwhelmed or burn out.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
