The leaders in North America, especially in Tech, are an out of touch on-size-fits-all dictatorship. The entire department spends at minimum 30% of the time in meetings, "rituals" and "leap week" including jr. engineers stifling progress. Earlier this year they imposed RTO and wish for full 5 day office. Raising concerns that the remaining top talent will increasingly depart - most cite these reasons - are met with indifference.
