Pros

Company growing fast - stable job and good chance to advance career. The company got into the whole BSM story very early, and has had a lot of success at selling this to customers. Our customer base is constantly growing, and that makes for a lot of work and stable product development jobs. The possible risk to a job here is that there is a trend to move work to the India office, and I would estimate that in another 3-4 years most of the work will move there. So existing employees need to create a place for them in a leaner environment.

Cons

Outdated technology. Very IT specific work. if you understand how IT organizations work, or have good working knowledge about datacenters and all it takes to manage them, you will enjoy this work. Otherwise you will have to forget about all the neat stuff being done out there by companies like Google and Facebook. No place for that in this company. No work is done on the cutting edge. The perspective is to gain customers, not to lead on technology front.

Pros

They hardly ever fire anyone.

Cons

They hardly ever fire anyone. Comp plan is terrible. You get paid on Opportunities sources but there isn't any criteria written down on what makes a discovery call turn into an opportunity. Leading them to cherry-pick deals and choose if you get paid or not. They don't have product market fit. The entire new logo space didn't close anything last year. Getting placed in a good, high paying seat is all dependent upon nepotism. No clear path for growth. Constantly moving the goal post and changing promotion criteria. The promotion path leads you to a role that has historically not closed a deal and the role is a huge pay cut for some BDR's leading to high churn or career BDR's.
